The authorities were able to successfully track down the hit-and-run driver. 32-year old Imran Chitalwalla of Boston was drunk when he smashed into the other vehicle. He took off and eluded the police for a few days. He was arrested in Cambridge on Massachusetts Avenue near Chicago Pizza. He was transferred to the Boston jails since that’s where the crash took place.
The driver has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, fleeing the scene and refusing to provide a driver’s license to the police.
